"Paythefan.com, a fantasy sports Web site that launched in August, offers fans the "chance to compete for $1[M] in cash prizes after paying a sign-up fee of $69.95 for football and $29.95 for NASCAR," according to Brian Marchetti of the DAILY SOUTHTOWN. Fox NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw and NASCAR driver Dale Jarrett each "contributed financially to the startup and write weekly blogs offering expert picks." Each week, the top fantasy football team owner wins $10,000, and at the end of the season, the winner will receive $250,000. The winner of the NASCAR fantasy game will receive $150,000. CHSG President John Hartman, whose company owns the Web site, said, "We noticed that the fantasy sites didn't pay. As fans, we fund the sports through tickets, memorabilia, taxes -- all we get is enjoyment. The fans should get paid." Marchetti noted paythefan.com plans to add other sports, including the NCAA men's basketball tournament and golf."
