After interviewing the first six winners of Pay The Fan's $10,000 weekly prize for highest weekly score this season, there has been one common thread amongst all the winners; productive kickers and defenses. Sure, it seems obvious doesn't it? It is, but predicting them on a weekly basis is the hard part. Over the last three years no single kicker has finished in the top three beyond a single season and defenses are roughly the same.
For week eight's match-ups, two of the top three defenses according to PayTheFan.com will be on their bye week (Bears and Packers). For kickers, three of the top four have their bye week this week (Longwell, Prater and Gould) making them even harder to predict than normal.
So what can you do? Play the odds with some of the statistically favorable match ups below:
Kickers
Shaun Suisham @ Lions D giving up 31.2 PPG
Shayne Graham @ Texans D giving up 29.8 PPG
Stephen Gostkowski vs. Rams D giving up 29.7 PPG
Defenses
Jets vs. Chiefs offense scoring only 12.5 PPG
Jaguars vs. Browns offense scoring only 15.3 PPG
Ravens vs. Raiders offense scoring only 16.2 PPG
