Well I lost a little more ground to DJ last weekend, but a flat tire here or there or a lost transmission here could swing things back my way in a major way. That is the thing with these road courses, you could be running up front all day, but a wheel hop here or over driving a corner there and you are stuck trying to make up all the ground you just lost for the remainder of the race. Here we go...
In the first group, I am probably going to start the 20 and the 24 and be done with it. You can think and think and put all the analysis in these picks you want this weekend, but the fact remains there are good road course drivers and there are bad road course drivers. And all I know is at the end of most these road races, those two are usually in the top 10 if not the top 5. Don't over think it.
In the second group, I am on the 7 and Juan Pablo. You could switch it up a little and start the 16, the 12, or the 26 if you want to be different and try to gain some points, but the 7 and the 42 are your best bets.
In the last group, I like Fellows, Said, and Pruett. They are all hired hands if you will, and road course veterans. Providing they make the race, I would definitely start some combination of those three. They will get you a good finish and it will save you a start for one of the regulars in this group.
Have a good one everybody and I will see you at the track.
