Hello people and welcome to what we refer to as the second race in our Northern swing on the schedule. I have always loved racing at Long Pond. Just because your car is good going through one or maybe two corners, does not mean it will be worth a hill of beans once you get to that third corner. This is a testament to the setup of the car as well as how good the driver can handle the track. Should be a lot of fun. Let's get to it.
In the first group, I guess I am going to keep plugging the 88 until he finally wins, and then I can say, "see, I told you so." This racetrack is a good place for him to build some more momentum for him. He had a fourth and a twelfth here last season, and I think he gets a top ten here this weekend. I also like the 48, 16, and possibly the 31. I know the Childress cars have not been outstanding thus far, but this is a good spot for the 31.
In the second group, I like the 2, 39, and of course the 9. My dark horses here are the 1 and the 26. They both had a pair of top 20 finishes here last season.
In the last group, I am going with the 20 and possibly the 47. Regan Smith is a dark horse out of this group that I will be watching intently. The 77 should have another quality run out of this group as well.
Good luck everyone and I will see you at the track.
