What's up Charlotte race fans? Are you ready for about six hours of action? This weekend is one big endurance test, as we go from daytime to nighttime on the speedway. The teams that have been on top of their games so far this season, are the ones to stick with this weekend. I would not throw in too many wild cards or dark horses here. You will have to have an adjustable race car especially for this race, and there are a select few who have been able to adjust and stay out front with these new COT's. So having said that, let's get it on!!!
In the first grouping this week, I am going to have to stick with the 18, 20, and the 11 out of the Gibbs camp. They have been nothing short of miraculous this season. And I don't see any reason for it to change here. Some of you may question what happened to them at the All Star event then? Well I'll tell, lots of times, teams will try different engine combinations or try different setup packages on their cars for that event, sort of as a test run to see if something different might help them in the race for this weekend. Now I am not saying that is what happened to those guys, but it is a strong possibility. And I need to gain some points on DJ anyway, so I am picking 2 out of those 3 drivers for Sunday.
In the second grouping this week, it was a big lift to our whole organization when Kasey picked up that win last Saturday night. I like him to have a good finish this weekend along with our team as well. I also like the 88, the 12, and Mr. Martin.
In the last grouping, I am thinking the 83 is going to have a good run. I like the 15 and possibly the 77 too.
Good luck to you all and I will talk to you again next week!!!
