"The Final Five"...does not have the same ring as say the "The Final Four", but it has the same importance for a good many of you who are in position for the big money. We are back at Martinsville this weekend for a short track tussle that is always fun.
In the "A" group this weekend, if you are holding on to those 48 or 24 starts, waiting to use them on a proverbial "rainy day", here is your spot. These guys are just always strong at this track, and "almost" guaranteed a great finish. But "almost" is the key word in the previous sentence. You never know at Martinsville if you may have a part fail or a tire go down, which would put you basically out of the running for a good finish. This "almost" may make you want to take a look at he 11, 14, and the 33 in this spot as well.
In the "B" group, I really like the 39, 42, and the 2. The 5 will be good. But if you are having to look a little deeper in the starts, the 26, 07, and the 1 deserve consideration.
In the "C" group, this is where the starts are getting really tight. I like the 43, 44, and the 47 here. But I really think this could be a good spot to plug in the 55 or Mr. Robby Gordon on Sunday.
Good luck everyone, have a great weekend, and make sure to tune into ABC on Sunday at 1:00.
