Back again in Thunder Valley...This is still one of the hottest tickets in NASCAR, and for good reason. There is nothing like a Saturday night race in Bristol. Not a bad seat in the place.
In the "A" group this weekend, I believe the 18 should head back to front. He absolutely dominated here in March by leading a race high 378 laps out of the 500. That kind of domination can make up some ground in our game, considering our competition gives points for laps led. The 24 and 48 will be good again. But this may be the place to plug in a couple of those Childress drivers. I may slide the 31 or 33 in one of my spots here this weekend.
In the "B" group, I like the patience of a Mark Martin at a track like this. He picks his spots, knows when to make a move, and rarely gets himself into trouble. Also, don't look now, but the 42 has turned himself into a pretty good short track driver, with top 10 finishes both here and Richmond this season. I also like the 39 and 2 here.
In the "C" group, if you stop to think about it, it really is amazing the type of season that the 47 is having. Not only is he gaining valuable experience on the NASCAR circuit, he is racking up quality finish after quality finish this season. You have to look at him for one of these spots. I also like the 12, 44, and possibly the 7. He has had some decent finishes on the short tracks this season.
