Now that was some quality points we picked up last week. Keep that in mind for Talladega towards the end of the year. Even though Tony had to get out of his car, he had a very strong run going. And of course the 18 ran very well these tracks. The Dodges have had stellar results at the plate tracks. So make sure you have some of these guys left for that all important plate race at the end of the year. Now on to this week's picks in Chicago.

In the "A" group this week, since we are back at a 1.5 miler this weekend, I look for the 99 to return to form. Although Chicago has traditionally been a Chevrolet dominated track, look for Carl to be pretty good. I also look for the Hendrick teams to be strong here. So keep an eye out for the 48 and the 24. The 29 has been a bear here over the years, so he and the rest of the Childress teams will be strong. But the man I may go ahead and pencil in is the 17. He has been on fire over the last month and a half and seems to be really hitting his stride.

In the "B" group this week, I like the 9 and the 19. If my man Elliott can have a little good luck, he will have a quality finish. I also like the 12, 16, and of course the 88. He led the most laps at the last 1.5 miler that we had in Charlotte. For some dark horses, take a look at the 6 and the 43.

In the "C" Group this week, I like the 83 and the 28 if you still have some starts left for them. If not, I like the 44, 84, and possibly the 77. The 77 had a top 15 finish at the last 1.5 mile track.

Good luck to everyone and have a good time watching the race on Saturday night.
