Bradshaw’s Blog - Week 9

Posted By: Terry Bradshaw

Quarterback

Fellas this is a big week at the quarterback position. Guys like Favre and Garcia are still getting it done in this league. Manning and Brady go head-to-head in what could be the game of the year. This is an exciting time for this league, and for Pay the Fan. But fantasy football is about match-ups. My QB one this week is the kid from Oregon State, Derek Anderson. Anderson stands at 6'6" and can throw the deep ball. He'll keep the Dog Pound fired up at home against the Seahawks.

Wide Receiver

With the emergence of Derek Anderson we've seen Cleveland route runners step up big time. I like Braylon Edwards this weekend against a struggling Seattle defense. Will this be the week the Bengals turn it around? T.J. Houshmandzadeh has scored in every football game played this season. He'll get a few this weekend to help the Bengals right the ship.

Running Back

Give a round of applause to Kevin Jones. Welcome back to the spotlight. He'll need to stay healthy for the Lions to roll into the playoffs. Mike Martz won't shy away from the pass, but he'll opt to run the ball a little more against a tough Denver d-back core. And I'm not giving up on young Adrian Peterson. Let's go with him two weeks in a row. I think he'll bounce back against San Diego at home.

Team Defense

Be prepared for a physical match-up on Monday night, combined with two conservative offenses. I think Pittsburgh will win the defensive battle against Baltimore. The Steelers are my "D" pick in week 9.

Tight End

Dallas is fresh off the buy week. Witten is still Romo's guy with Glenn on the sidelines. Look for Jason Witten to make catches inside 10 yards, and stretch things vertical against Phili on Sunday night.

Kicker

How do you pick a kicker every week? Let's go with Mr. Clutch, Adam Vinatieri, in the Indy-New England showdown. An indoor game always favors kickers.

Good luck this weekend,

TB
